To Whom It May Concern:,

I am a junior at Georgetown University, studying at the School of Foreign Service and majoring in Culture and Politics, with a minor in Contemporary Arab Studies. I am writing to you because I am very interested in interning for your company this summer. After graduation, I plan to seek employment in the consulting industry and I would be overjoyed if Analysis Group allowed me to gain some hands-on experience in the field before I commit to a full-time job.

I have been interested in entering the consulting field for a long time now, and hope to take some practical steps to enter the field this summer through an internship. I enjoy doing all kinds of research, I find the search for information an intriguing process, no matter what field I have to do it in. Although I don’t have much experience in business, I have extensive background in economics, after five college courses in the field. I would love to use the theoretical knowledge I have gained in the classroom and apply it in a real-world setting. I am also very interested in law, and I am considering applying to law school after graduation.

This year, I am doing a split year abroad, studying in at the American University in Cairo during the fall and currently spending the spring semester studying the the Sorbonne University in Paris. The programs have helped me learn a lot, both in terms of foreign language acquisition, as well as the differences in culture and lifestyle between different parts of the world. The various living situations I’ve had to deal with have made me a more adaptable and open-minded persona and has taught a lot about personal relationships and teamwork. I’m interested in continuing my development through an internship at Cornerstone Research this summer and hope that you will consider me for the position.

Georaphically, my preference would be an office in New York, since that is where my family is located. My second choice would be in Washington, DC. However, I am willing to relocate as long as my compensation is adequate to provide for rent in another region.

Sincerely,

Kamilla Khabibrakhmanova
